Guidelines for Online Blackjack

We can confidently say that Online Blackjack has become one of the world’s favorite and most renowned casino games in the world. This is partly because the rules are so simple to learn and its rounds are also quick moving. The object of the game of Online Blackjack is to get as close to 21 as possible, beat the dealer’s hand and of course, not exceed the number 21.
Once the wagers are placed on the table and the players are each dealt 2 cards, then the action begins. Once all the cards are dealt and the bets made, the dealer will flip a card over on the table for everyone to see. Next, the players are able to ask for either more cards, stay with their current hand, double down or, split their hand.
The dealer will continue to hit until the numbers on their card faces add up to 17 or higher. The jack, queen and king are each worth 10. The ace may either be worth 11 or 1. When adding an ace makes the total greater than 21, the ace is then applied as 1. The number cards are worth their number, for example: a 9 is worth 9.
So what does it mean exactly – to double down? Simply put, it means that when a player decides to double down, he is doubling his original bet and receives one more card from the deck. Here’s another point worth making, if a player has two cards with the same value, then that player can split their hand and in turn, play two hands simultaneously.
If a player is dealt a 21 within the first 2 cards dealt, that is what we call a "natural". This kind of hand will give you one and a half times the original bet! This is quite rare but if the player and the dealer both get a natural, the bet becomes a push and the player will get their initial bet back. The rest of the players who didn’t get a natural, end up losing their bet without even having had a chance to draw another card.
Though there are many variations of blackjack rules as there are many online casinos, these are the basic standard regulations which hold true for online blackjack in general.
